Stupid criminal edition

This guy is an idiot. From Oklahoma City you can be anywhere in the US in < 48 hours by car with nice sleep stops along the way. So why would anybody choose to try to slip a homemade bomb through an airport? Either this is a very slick operation to try to determine weaknesses in our new Homeland Security division or he is a complete idiot.
