Ann Coulter is a brash pundit but she does her homework.
This week's column is the list of all the reasons why we are really having $3 gas and who voted for those poor policies. In her typical flambouyant and funny style she brings home the point that Republicans have not gotten around to pointing out to the short term memory public. It begins:
I would be more interested in what the Democrats had to say about high gas prices if these were not the same people who refused to let us drill for oil in Alaska, imposed massive restrictions on building new refineries, and who shut down the development of nuclear power in this country decades ago.
Go read the whole thing. Then send a pointer to 10 people you know who are pissed off about prices at the pumps.

Yeah, of course Ann Coulter is sane. In some other universe. What gives the USA the right to cheap gas?
Um, just for the record, nobody has the "right" to cheap gas. But some policies will lead to cheap gas while others lead to expensive gas.
While you are complaining about the "oil guys" in the White House who are clearly responsible for $3/gallon, it is good to remember who voted for which policies.
